Terrible Two's

I have a question for all of you with older kids than mine -- when did the terrible two's start? I think they started about 2 days ago for Emily; she is 2 1/2. Ugh, I'm about ready to pull my hair out. On Monday we were all ready to get out of the house and go to the park (and enjoy this crazy warm November weather) and the van wouldn't start. Long story, the van is fine now. So on Tuesday we were desperate to get out and went to the Lion Park with Shannon, which was a lot of fun. Today Emily was a little more behaved, thank goodness. And maybe she's just not feeling well (we're all still kind of sick here, mainly bad colds), who knows. She's climbing all over the place (onto her dresser, using the knobs like a climbing wall), into the sink, out of bed, . . . And she doesn't want to nap very well either. Oh well, I'll survive. If you have any great ideas for me, let me know!

I think Paisley's started at about 18 months. Maybe she'll get it out of her system early. :) Probably not...

I think it's different with each kid. Holly never really went through the "terrible two's." She's always been a lot easier to manage than her little brother, and has always been a lot more compliant. Michael, on the other hand, pretty much was in his "terrible two's" since he's been born. From day one, he was such a challenge to me, and continues to be! He's almost 2 and is very hard-headed, stubborn, and defiant. But he's always been this way. Not that he isn't sweet sometimes, and of course I love him and am glad he's in the family, but he sure is harder to handle. So all of this just to say, hopefully she'll outgrow it soon!
