Remember how I avoided sending my marriage license into Social Security 8 years ago because I wanted to keep it nice and neat and didn't want to fold it up? When I received the paperwork back from SSA the other day, saying they didn't need my marriage license but rather proof of identity, it turns out they cut a piece out of my marriage license and now it's in 2 pieces (see below).
How annoying! They must have a machine that cuts the top off of the envelopes so some poor soul doesn't have to open an envelope by hand like the rest of us. I think even Jeremy was annoyed and asked how we could get a new one. Oh well, I doubt I'll need this ever again, but you never know.

That stinks! I would have been ticked. I understand how it could happen, but still, that's important paperwork!
