The other night Jeremy brought me home a candy thermometer so I decided to make divinity for the first time. I didn't really know what I was doing (wasn't sure what "stiff peaks" were, etc) but it actually turned out pretty good. And mom was right, when it's ready to spoon out, you need to hurry or it really dries out fast. Here it is:

Leave me a comment on whether you like or dislike divinity (nuts or not? colored or white?) or if you've never had it!
Is there anything prettier than a Christmas tree at night? A picture can never do it justice, the way the lights sparkle and how the light hits the branches.

If you are taking orders for the divinity -- white, no nuts. I grew up eating divinity!!! Love it.
I have never experienced divinity well not the food kind anyway!! It looks yummy! Good job on facing your fears and making it!
KM -- If I knew who you were, you could stop by our place for some light pink divinity, no nuts :)
Grandpa said to mail the divinity to S. 54th St. Hickman, NE

Fantastic looking divinity! Way to go, Steph. I've been replaced.
Looks good, but come on - no nuts? And, I just have to say that it is nice to see comments from these people that read our blogs but never comment. :) (Rita)
